Joe Flacco<\/a> will return to the Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> for his 19th NFL<\/a> season in 2026. After starting the 2025 season with the Cleveland Browns<\/a>, Flacco was moved in a rare trade between division rivals in Week 6 to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for a 2026 fifth-round draft pick. The Audubon High School graduate was brought in to stabilize the Bengals\u2019 quarterback room after former No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow<\/a> was sidelined with turf toe.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-6 quarterback started nine games for the Bengals, throwing 13 touchdowns and only four interceptions. Flacco was efficient in Cincinnati, as the former Delaware Fightin\u2019 Blue Hens quarterback completed 158 of 256 passes for a 61.7% completion percentage.<\/p>\n

With the in-season trade between division rivals puzzling <\/a>even NFL coaches<\/a>, Netflix revealed that further insight into the move can be gained July 14. On Wednesday, Netflix announced that the 41-year-old will appear in Season 3 of \u201cQuarterback.\u201d The television series gives a behind-the-scenes look at the 2025 season, in which fans and media will be able to view the trade from Flacco\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n

NFL Films, Patrick Mahomes<\/a>\u2019 2PM Productions and Peyton Manning<\/a>\u2019s Omaha Productions collaborated on the upcoming Season 3. Joining Flacco on the show will be Jayden Daniels<\/a> of the Washington Commanders<\/a>, Baker Mayfield<\/a> of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers<\/a>, and Cam Ward<\/a> of the Tennessee Titans<\/a>. Past seasons of \u201cQuarterback\u201d featured the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u2019 Mahomes, the Bengals\u2019 Burrow, and the Detroit Lions<\/a>\u2019 Jared Goff<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati\u2019s season opener is set for Sept. 9, with the full schedule officially scheduled to be released Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.<\/p>\n
