Country music legend Sheryl Crow is offloading a small slice of her extravagant Nashville estate for $1.8 million (AUD $2.5 million) \u2014 more than a decade after adding the 2.2-acre parcel to her longtime Tennessee compound.<\/p>\n
The property, which is directly adjacent to her primary residence, was snapped up by the star for $1.24 million (AUD $1.71 million) in 2015, around nine years after she purchased her main abode, according to records.<\/p>\n
Crow, 64, bought both properties through a trust managed by her longtime financial manager \u2014 having chosen to relocate from a remote 150-acre farm to the Nashville estate when her children were getting ready to start preschool.<\/p>\n
However, it appears that the singer is now ready to downsize \u2014 at least a little bit, according to a \u201ccoming soon\u201d listing for a four-bedroom, three-bathroom dwelling that sits on a leafy parcel bordering her personal 50-acre retreat.<\/p>\n
Crow has been living in Nashville for nearly two decades now, having quit Los Angeles in 2007, one year after she was diagnosed with breast cancer.<\/p>\n
In its listing, which is held by Alex Sloan of Zeitlin Sotheby\u2019s International Realty, the property is described as a \u201cturnkey\u201d dwelling that will allow a future owner to \u201cmove right in and enjoy the timeless lifestyle\u201d the ranch-style abode offers.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreeted with grace, the residence welcomes you with gated tree lined canopy entry set back nicely from the street,\u201d the description continues.<\/p>\n
Spanning just over 4,500 square feet of living space, the elegant residence features several large, open-plan living spaces on the main level, including a den, a formal dining room, a large, and a modern kitchen with a sizeable dine-at island, dining nook, and cozy seating area with a large stone fireplace.<\/p>\n
Several of the living spaces open up directly to the backyard, which features a large pool, several entertaining spaces, and ample room for outdoor dining.<\/p>\n
Two of the property\u2019s four bedrooms can be found on the main level, including the primary suite, which features an enormous walk-in closet and a stunning bathroom, complete with a large soaking tub and a separate shower.<\/p>\n
There is also an office space on this floor, which the listing notes could be converted into a fifth bedroom if needed.<\/p>\n

The description also calls attention to the property\u2019s incredibly convenient location, which sits within a few minutes\u2019 drive of Franklin, Brentwood, and Belle Meade \u2014 a feature that Crow herself admitted was one of the major draws for her home when she purchased it more than 20 years ago.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe property has 50 acres \u2014 but we are also like, five minutes from a Starbucks,\u201d she told Architectural Digest of the home\u2019s setting.<\/p>\n
Crow added that she had initially started looking for properties in the area when she realised she needed to be closer to the schools that her sons, Wyatt and Levi, would be attending.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe were quite a ways out and starting preschool,\u201d she shared. \u201cIt was time.\u201d<\/p>\n
It\u2019s unclear why Crow has chosen to offload her smaller Nashville dwelling; however, she seems to have kicked off preparation for the listing at the end of March, when she hosted a huge estate sale at the property, where fans were invited to peruse an array of unique items she has amassed throughout her career.<\/p>\n
Among the pieces available were a vintage chest, tables, and chair, antique mirrors, hand-knotted rugs, a striped fabric tuxedo sofa, upholstered wing back chairs, \u201clots of fun lamps and chandeliers,\u201d and several leather chairs.<\/p>\n
The songstress may well be attempting to minimise her personal admin before embarking on a very action-packed summer of concert dates.<\/p>\n

The chart-topper is due to perform at multiple festivals throughout July and August, including Willie Nelson\u2019s 4th of July Picnic event in Austin, TX, as well as the Ottawa Bluesfest in Canada, before she heads to the Outlaw Music Festival in New York.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Variety in April, she explained how her health struggles, coupled with her break-up from partner Lance Armstrong, pushed her to re-evaluate her living situation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe all have those moments in our life where we have to pivot,\u201d she explained. \u201cI was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, and I moved here in 2007.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think having come out of a relationship where I thought I was gonna be married and was close to the kids that were gonna be my stepkids, then got diagnosed \u2014 all three of those things made me reassess.\u201d<\/p>\n
Crow noted that she chose Nashville because she already had family living in the area, family that would become an integral part of her decision to adopt two children as a single mother.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just looked at it and thought, \u2019I want to put down roots; I want to have a family,\u2019\u201d she shared. \u201cMy sisters live here, and my family all lived within three hours, and I just decided to start phase two.\u201d<\/p>\n
The \u201cSoak Up the Sun\u201d singer adopted her older son, Wyatt, now 19, the same year that she moved to Nashville, and later welcomed Levi, now 16, in 2010.<\/p>\n
In a 2021 interview with \u201cToday\u201d show host Hoda Kotb, Crow admitted that she\u2019d had a very specific vision about what her family would look like \u2014 and initially thought her dream of being a mother would never come true after she and Armstrong split.<\/p>\n
