{"id":670454,"date":"2026-05-14T13:30:08","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T13:30:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/670454\/"},"modified":"2026-05-14T13:30:08","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T13:30:08","slug":"ducati-yamaha-get-fuel-flow-changes-for-dutch-worldsbk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/670454\/","title":{"rendered":"Ducati, Yamaha get fuel flow changes for Dutch WorldSBK"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">This weekend\u2019s WorldSBK Czech Round (15\u201317 May) will see Ducati hit with another fuel flow penalty.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ducati will have its maximum fuel flow reduced by a further 0.5kg\/h at the Czech <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WorldSBK<\/a> in Most this weekend.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">It comes after the Bologna brand was hit with a 0.5kg\/h penalty ahead of the Dutch Round in April.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">WorldSBK is able to implement fuel flow penalties after every second round based on an algorithm that considers a manufacturer\u2019s performance, hence the spacing between the penalties for Ducati which has won every race so far this season and holds the top three positions in the riders\u2019 standings after 12 races.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ducati\u2019s penalty means it now has 44kg\/h of maximum fuel flow.<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bimota was also given a 0.5kg\/h penalty in Assen, but it has not finished on the podium in the last two rounds so has not been given a reduction this time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The only manufacturer other than Ducati to have finished on the podium in the last two rounds has been BMW, taking one podium with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/wsbk\/racer\/911996\/miguel-oliveira\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Miguel Oliveira<\/a> in Race 1 at Balaton Park two weeks ago. Oliveira, of course, won\u2019t be present in Most this weekend after his Superpole Race crash in Hungary.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On the other side of the coin, Yamaha has been given a 0.5kg\/h increase \u201caccording to the concession system\u201d, as WorldSBK puts it.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Yamaha has been among the slowest manufacturers in the speed trap this year.
