The Boston Celtics<\/a> are likely still recovering from their gut-wrenching first-round playoff loss to the Philadelphia 76ers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no question Boston (with Jayson Tatum<\/a> in the lineup, of course) would have matched up better with the New York Knicks<\/a> in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Unfortunately, the Celtics failed to get the job done, forcing them to watch the Knicks sweep Philadelphia<\/a> in a lopsided second-round series.<\/p>\n

Since the end of the Celtics\u2019 2025-26 season, there have been rumors that a blockbuster trade is on the horizon. 98.5 The Sports Hub\u2019s Colin Kennedy<\/a> believes that acquiring the Golden State Warriors<\/a>\u2019 future Hall of Fame point guard isn\u2019t as far-fetched as many believe.<\/p>\n

“This move (Jaylen Brown-Stephen Curry swap) is trending more towards fantasyland, but nonetheless, it\u2019s another blockbuster move that makes some real sense,” Kennedy wrote Tuesday. “To start, the contracts are comparable, and a one-for-one swap is possible, but more pieces would likely be included.\u201d<\/p>\n

Even Warriors fans would admit that the franchise doesn\u2019t deserve Curry<\/a> at this stage of his career. Golden State has failed the four-time NBA champion lately, which explains why they haven\u2019t come close to a title since then.<\/p>\n

Fielding a title-contending roster shouldn\u2019t be as challenging as the Warriors have made it recently.\u00a0\u00a0Somehow, though, they\u2019ve found a way to complicate things with their questionable midseason and offseason moves.<\/p>\n

That said, Curry isn\u2019t going anywhere unless he demands a trade, which is highly unlikely. The Davidson product has spent the first 17 years of his career with the Dubs and is expected to finish it off with the organization that selected with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2009 draft.<\/p>\n

The Celtics are still welcomed to work their magic to poach Curry from Golden State this summer, but their attempt will probably be unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
