The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/visma-lease-a-bike\" title=\"Visma | Lease a Bike\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Visma | Lease a Bike<\/a> Brit once again saw off the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/cycling\/matthew-brennan-makes-comeback-in-visma-development-squad-alongside-two-other-worldtour-riders\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">continental-level field<\/a> \u2014 not normally his competition \u2014 in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/vismaleaseabike\/status\/2054910071834919024\" rel=\"nofollow\">Brennan also won Wednesday&#8217;s opening stage<\/a> over 94 kilometres. &#8220;It was a very cold and wet day today \u2014 though nothing compared to the Giro I was watching earlier,&#8221; he said after that first victory.<\/p>\n<p>The Brit is making his return at the Fl\u00e8che du Sud after missing the Classics comeback races, having previously passed on Eschborn-Frankfurt, Tro Bro L\u00e9on and the GP du Morbihan.<\/p>\n<p>Read on below the video!<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of Visma | Lease a Bike, not everything went smoothly on day one in Luxembourg, as Tijmen Graat &#8211; along with Anton Schiffer the other WorldTour riders at the start &#8211; crashed.<\/p>\n<p>Queen stage on Saturday<\/p>\n<p>Thursday&#8217;s 150-kilometre second stage ended in a bunch sprint \u2014 and Brennan was again the quickest. &#8220;Great work from the team \u2014 the lead-out was perfect. With one rider still attacking, the team put me in the right position and I was able to come over the top right at the last moment.
