The Cleveland Browns<\/a> released their 2026 schedule<\/a>, and they will travel to New York not once, but twice. They will play gracious visitors to both the New York Jets<\/a> and Giants<\/a> this upcoming season.<\/p>\n

This means they have to play at MetLife Field twice in 2026, a playing surface known for being cursed. Many players have suffered significant injuries in Rutherford and have spoken out against the turf being used at the home field of the Jets and Giants. Some have compared the surface to playing on concrete.<\/p>\n

Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers<\/a> and San Francisco 49ers<\/a> pass rusher Nick Bosa<\/a> are two players who have suffered season-ending injuries, two of 16 between 2020 and 2025.<\/p>\n

Can Browns avoid the MetLife curse?<\/p>\n

For a team that has been snake-bitten by the injury bug over the past three seasons, this is not great news for the Browns. As they travel to New Jersey twice to play the Jets and Giants, let’s hope for better injury luck from the Browns and for a 2-0 record.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, they have been dealt this hand, but if the Browns can leave those games with zero casualties to the injury bug, it will be a massive win for the team.<\/p>\n
