South Sydney<\/a> captain Cameron Murray<\/a> was placed on report during his side’s Magic Round clash on Friday night in a moment that could have ramifications for the NSW Blues<\/a>‘ State of Origin<\/a> campaign.<\/p>\n

Former Queensland Maroons<\/a> flyer Selwyn Cobbo<\/a> was also placed on report in the Suncorp Stadium clash, won by the Dolphins 32-10, though it’s unlikely the enigmatic winger is part of Billy Slater<\/a>‘s plans for the May 27 series opener.<\/p>\n

Murray, an automatic selection for Laurie Daley<\/a>‘s Blues provided he’s available, was placed on report in the 25th minute after crashing into the legs of Dolphins back-rower Kulikefu Finefeuiaki as two of his teammates went high.<\/p>\n

Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow takes exception to Cameron Murray after his dangerous tackle.\u00a0Nine<\/p>\n

Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, a star of the Maroons’ 2025 series triumph, took exception to Murray’s tackle, pushing him in the head as he towered over him.<\/p>\n

“I’m not sure; we’ll have to wait and see,” Murray said when asked about being placed on report.<\/p>\n

Asked how disappointed he’d be if he was ruled out, he said: “I’d be sad about it, for sure. I love playing in the blue jersey, so any chance I get, I’ll go with both hands.”<\/p>\n

In the 52nd minute, Cobbo found himself in trouble after performing a lifting tackle on South Sydney centre Campbell Graham, although it appeared to be on the minor end.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, there are concerns for Latrell Mitchell’s fitness<\/a> ahead of Origin I after the boom centre struggled off the field with seven minutes remaining.<\/p>\n
