Q\ufeffueen Mary<\/a> has officially returned to royal duties after enjoying an extended break away from the spotlight.<\/p>\n

The 53-year-old is one of the first European royals to go back to work after the summer holidays<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Danish royal was all\ufeff smiles as she fronted the cameras for the opening of a new mental health counselling centre, aimed at young people.<\/p>\n

Headspace T\u00e5rnby is described as being a “preventative and mental health” centre for those aged between 12 and 25-years old.<\/p>\n

It provides free, and anonymous, help to those who need it.<\/p>\n

Queen Mary has made the wellbeing of young people a core focus of her royal work since marrying into the Danish royal family 21 years ago.<\/p>\n

Social isolation and loneliness are \ufefftwo areas Mary has chosen to tackle and last year announced a three-part podcast series<\/a> through the Mary Foundation on the issue.<\/p>\n

The \ufeffLonely Youth series will give a voice to those experiencing social isolation and hopefully improving their mental health in the process.<\/p>\n

During Queen Mary’s engagement on Wednesday August 13 she spent time meeting members of the public outside the centre, with one of them giving the royal an unusual gift.<\/p>\n

The Queen was handed a bag of fresh figs by a woman named Ingers, with Mary accepting the gift and thanking her.<\/p>\n

Queen Mary re-wore her Polo Ralph Lauren pinstripe linen pantsuit\ufeff, a perfect summer outfit.<\/p>\n

She accessorised with jewels from Dulong Fine Jewellery, a luxury brand she has worn for two decades including when she married then-Crown Prince Frederik in 2004.<\/p>\n

Now King, Frederik also returned to work this week hosting a public audience at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

The royal family \ufeffhad been on holidays at their summer residence, Graasten Palace<\/a> \u2013 on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in south Denmark\ufeff \u2013 where they spent the past two weeks.<\/p>\n

As the summer period comes to an end, the couple’s three youngest children are returning to the classroom<\/a> for the new school year.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, the Danish Royal Household revealed \ufeffa few changes for Crown Prince Christian<\/a>, Princess Isabella<\/a> and twins, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.\ufeff<\/p>\n

The Crown Prince, 19, has returned to military training but this time Christian is working towards qualifying as a lieutenant.<\/p>\n

The training lasts one year plus a subsequent period of practical service as a platoon leader, the palace said.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Crown Prince Christian qualified as a Guards Hussar<\/a>.\ufeff<\/p>\n

His younger sister, Princess Isabella \u2013 who turned 18 in April<\/a> \u2013 is now in her final year of schooling.<\/p>\n

She is a student at \u00d8reg\u00e5rd Gymnasium and is expected to graduate in mid-2026.<\/p>\n

Prince Vincent, 14, is back at school Traneg\u00e5rd School in Hellerup, where he is in grade eight.<\/p>\n

Princess Josephine has chosen a new direction separate from her twin brother.<\/p>\n

Josephine \ufeffhas changed schools and will board at Spir Efterskole, located in the East Jutland port town of Snaptun \u2013 about a three-hour drive west of Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

She was previously a student at Kildeg\u00e5rd Private School in Hellerup, which was much closer to the family’s two main residences<\/a> in Copenhagen and Fredensborg.<\/p>\n

Princess Josephine has chosen to move schools “at her own request”, the palace said. \ufeff<\/p>\n

Later this month, King Frederik and Queen Mary will embark on their summer cruise<\/a> on board Dannebrog visiting multiple cities.\ufeff<\/p>\n
