<\/p>\nEver since Bold & Beautiful launched Logan and sent Eric back to Forrester Creations, Katie has talked a blue streak about how she needs to start thinking about her next line, specifically who will design it. But instead of interview designers \u2014 or remember that she was thisclose to hiring Deke \u2014 she has become all about bringing niece Hope aboard. Say it with me: What?!?<\/p>\n
In Katie\u2019s estimation, Hope is a fashion icon \u2014 and OK, maybe she is, despite the Annie from Toy Story and Lil\u2019 Bo Beep outfits we still haven\u2019t forgotten and the fact that Hope For the Future was shuttered just last year owing to poor sales. The fact remains, Hope isn\u2019t a designer. We don\u2019t even know if she can doodle.<\/p>\n

So while it might be nice for Katie to have a celebrity like Hope as the face of Logan, it\u2019s not going to put dresses on sketchpads. Obviously, eventually Hope is going to say, \u201cHey, I know a great designer. Have you met my brother?\u201d<\/p>\n
That, or Zende is finally going to get ticked enough at being thrown scraps by his supposed family that he jumps ship to Logan along with Hope. (We did get a big hint here.<\/a>) Given that he always gets short shrift at FC \u2014 arguably he\u2019s treated more shabbily than even Thorne was \u2014 you\u2019ve gotta wonder whether the Forresters will freak the freak out over his defection like they did over Eric\u2019s.<\/p>\n Anyway, the point is, Katie needs a designer, and instead of looking for one, she\u2019s looking for a figurehead. And theoretically, isn\u2019t Katie her own figurehead? Doesn\u2019t she want to be the individual most closely associated with the fashion house that bears her name?<\/p>\n Oh, Bold & Beautiful, make it make sense. Or does it somehow, and we\u2019re just not connecting the dots? If you understand it, by all means, please explain in the comments.
