Nyck de Vries took Mahindra\u2019s first Formula E win in almost five years in the first Monaco E-Prix – as Dan Ticktum was embroiled in late drama with Antonio Felix da Costa in the fight for third.<\/p>\n
Former Formula 1 driver De Vries scored his first victory of the 2025-26 season, enduring a safety car and a full course yellow on his way to win.<\/p>\n
The Dutch driver lined up second behind Cupra Kiro driver Ticktum, and cleverly banked energy before a well-timed pitstop put him into clear air.<\/p>\n
An early safety car had come courtesy of contact between Andretti driver Jake Dennis and Citroen\u2019s Nick Cassidy at the Nouvelle Chicane.<\/p>\n
Soon after, the two Porsche works drivers came together at Rascasse, with Nico Mueller running into the back of team-mate and now-former points leader Pascal Wehrlein, suffering a broken front wing and giving Wehrlein a puncture.<\/p>\n
De Vries, meanwhile, stayed out of trouble to score his first Formula E win since the 2021-22 campaign, when he was still in Mercedes and hadn’t yet attempted his F1 switch.<\/p>\n
It marked both his and Mahindra’s first win of the Gen3 era.<\/p>\n
Mitch Evans finished second for Jaguar TCS Racing and now leads the drivers\u2019 standings after nine races.<\/p>\n
Ticktum crossed the line in third after late contact with Jaguar\u2019s da Costa into the Nouvelle Chicane ended the latter\u2019s race.<\/p>\n
But he was handed a drive-through penalty for the collision, converted into a 33-second penalty. This gave team-mate Pepe Marti his maiden series podium.<\/p>\n
Wehrlein, who had led the standings before his no-score, is now 15 points behind Evans.
