On Saturday, the Atlanta Braves<\/a> will continue their series with the Boston Red Sox<\/a> (at Truist Park) in Georgia.<\/p>\n

The Braves are coming off a 3-2 victory on Friday.<\/p>\n

Braves Release 5-Year MLB Player From Organization\"\"<\/p>\n

Ahead of Saturday\u2019s game, the Braves released Tayler Scott from his Minor League deal (via MLB.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n

He had been with the Gwinnett Stripers.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old pitched in 14 Triple-A games<\/a> this season, going 1-0 with a 9.20 ERA.<\/p>\n

Scott\u2019s MLB Career\"\"<\/p>\n

Scott was picked in the fifth round of the 2011 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

He spent his rookie year with the Seattle Mariners and Baltimore Orioles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After two years in Japan, Scott had stints with the San Diego Padres<\/a>, Los Angeles Dodgers<\/a>, Boston Red Sox, Oakland Athletics, Houston Astros and Arizona Diamondbacks.<\/p>\n

In 2024, he went 7-3 with a 2.23 ERA in 62 games for the Astros.<\/p>\n

Over 125 career games, Scott has gone 8-6 with a 5.51 ERA.<\/p>\n

It will be interesting to see if another team takes a chance on him before the end of the 2026 season.<\/p>\n

There is no question that Scott could be a good (low-risk) addition for pitching depth.<\/p>\n

Braves Right Now\"\"<\/p>\n

After missing the 2025 MLB playoffs, the Braves are the best team in all of baseball to start the season.<\/p>\n

They are the first-place team in the National League East with a 31-14 record in 45 games.<\/p>\n

Over their last ten games, the Braves have gone 6-4 (and they are 15-7 in 22 games at home).<\/p>\n

After two more games with the Red Sox, they are headed to Florida for a series with the Miami Marlins<\/a> that starts on Monday.<\/p>\n
