\nDiaz<\/a> doesn\u2019t think he could have done much if his fight against
\nMike
\nPerry<\/a> had continued longer than it did.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Diaz returned to action against Perry at MVP\u2019s first MMA card on
\nSaturday at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Perry put his
\nbare-knuckle skills on display, battering Diaz from the very onset.
\nWhile Diaz managed to take Perry down, he was barely able to land
\nany damage. Perry left Diaz bloodied by the end of the second
\nround, forcing the fight to be waved off by cageside
\ndoctors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Diaz subsequently revealed that he injured his finger early in the
\nfight, which diverted his attention. Diaz also agrees with his
\ncorner\u2019s decision to stop the fight. The Stockton native admits
\nthat he could barely see with blood covering his eyes.\u2018I Couldn\u2019t See S\u2014t\u2019

\n\u201cI think I broke my finger in the first two seconds,\u201d Diaz siad. \u201cI
\nwas spending too much time focusing on that\u2026I had blood in my eyes,
\nI couldn\u2019t see s\u2014t. I wasn\u2019t gonna do nothing\u2026 But next time he
\nain\u2019t gonna be able to do nothing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Diaz (21-14) parted ways with the UFC after a submission win over
\nTony
\nFerguson<\/a> in 2022. Diaz then competed in boxing matches against
\nJake
\nPaul<\/a> and Jorge
\nMasvidal<\/a> before his return to MMA against Perry. Meanwhile,
\nPerry (15-8) bid farewell to an underwhelming UFC career in 2021.
\nHowever, \u201cPlatinum\u201d since made waves in BKFC, becoming arguably the
\nbiggest star of the sport.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Nate Diaz<\/a> said
\nhe agrees with the decision to stop the fight:<\/p>\n

\u201cI had blood in my eyes, I couldn\u2019t see sh*t. I wasn\u2019t gonna do
