Page Six<\/a> exclusively at the 2026 Paley Honors Spring Gala on Thursday night. \u201cAll that merchandising, somebody got rich off of it, it wasn\u2019t the three of us! They\u2019ll have to figure that one out; some lawyer can figure that out.\u201d<\/p>\n\u201cOf course it annoys me,\u201d Jackson exclaimed when Page Six asked if she was irked by the finances.<\/p>\n
However, Jaclyn Smith, who played Kelly Garrett in the series, is not quite as miffed.<\/p>\n
\u201cI always say Charlie\u2019s Angels was a gift,\u201d she explained. \u201cIt opened up a whole series of businesses. I do a lot of branding, and I design clothes and wigs and skin care and one thing after another! So, it gave me a backup plan.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, I don\u2019t really think about the merchandising, and I loved Aaron Spelling,\u201d she noted, mentioning the show\u2019s creator, who died in 2006.<\/p>\n
Smith, who is 80, also shared why she was glowing on the red carpet.<\/p>\n
\u201cClean living, being loved,\u201d The Bourne Identity star revealed. \u201cI grew up with a great family, I have two beautiful children, three granddaughters, great husband.\u201d<\/p>\n
Both she and Jackson were overwhelmed by the response to their red carpet pose.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think you can\u2019t help with all the excitement, so I think when you go that kind of distance, there\u2019s just excitement in that number. It\u2019s a wonderful feeling,\u201d Smith divulged while Jackson confessed she had no idea she\u2019d still be talking about Charlie\u2019s Angels all these years later.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think it\u2019s just kind of amazing that 50 years ago we somehow lit a fire that caught on all over the world and it\u2019s never been put out,\u201d Jackson said. \u201cThere has not been a day that Charlie\u2019s Angels has not been on television, in more than one place, since it went on the first night.\u201d<\/p>\n
The two were honoured with fellow \u201cAngel\u201d Cheryl Ladd, who unfortunately had to bow out due to a family emergency, along with Vivendi CEO Arnaud de Puyfontaine and Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl.<\/p>\n
