She said, \u2018You don\u2019t know if you\u2019re going to get hurt on the most important day. You could get hurt the day of the Olympics. You could get hurt when it really matters, and you need to know that your body listens to you. Not the other way around.\u2019 I was like, thanks for the trauma, momma.\u201d<\/p>\n
The injury had no impact on Rousey\u2019s efforts, although some might wonder if she would\u2019ve been more willing to test her standup against Carano if she had entered the fight unscathed. \u201cRowdy\u201d insists that she\u2019s never truly entered a bout fully healthy.<\/p>\n
\u201cI basically have never had a fight where I wasn\u2019t injured in some way,\u201d Rousey said. \u201cI didn\u2019t ever pull out of a fight because I\u2019ve never been injured, I just never pulled out of a fight because I always fight anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n
Rousey doesn\u2019t foresee a return to the cage again, at least not anytime soon. She has put her attention on having more children. MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian has said that Rousey has a place in the promotion whether she decides to compete again or not.<\/p>\n
