{"id":679775,"date":"2026-05-19T01:36:22","date_gmt":"2026-05-19T01:36:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/679775\/"},"modified":"2026-05-19T01:36:22","modified_gmt":"2026-05-19T01:36:22","slug":"the-largest-ever-pokemon-go-event-in-melbourne-is-taking-place-in-july-to-celebrate-go-fest-2026-global","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/679775\/","title":{"rendered":"The largest ever Pok\u00e9mon GO event in Melbourne is taking place in July to celebrate GO Fest 2026: Global"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/eftm.com\/ads\/lg-banner\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"970\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/QNED_970x250.jpg\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year, on the weekend of July 11 and 12, a community celebration of Pok\u00e9mon GO Fest 2026: Global will be taking place in Melbourne at Queensbridge Square, Southbank.<\/p>\n<p>The event aims to bring trainers together for one of the biggest weekends on the Pok\u00e9mon Go calendar, with attendees able to enjoy \u201cimmersive photo opportunities, collect a Pikachu visor\u201d, and meet other trainers.\u00a0 The location will include a dedicated space for trainers to explore, trade and raid together.<\/p>\n<p>Those interested in this year\u2019s event will see the debut of Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y in Pok\u00e9mon GO, available through Super Mega Raid Battles.\u00a0 Trainers will also have the opportunity to complete Special Research to encounter the Mythical Pok\u00e9mon Zeraora, the Thunderclap Pok\u00e9mon, for the very first time in Pok\u00e9mon GO.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eftm.com\/?attachment_id=275843\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"8256\" height=\"5504\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/shutterstock_2501528769.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-275843\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/eftm.com\/ads\/netgear-axe11000-banner\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"970\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/MH7150_ads-2-970x250-1.jpg\" class=\"no-lazy-load wp-post-image\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Featured Pok\u00e9mon types from all 18 Pok\u00e9mon types will be rotating throughout the day and the weekend, with each hour highlighting different elemental habitats.\u00a0 There will also be the opportunity to encounter Pikachu with Team Instinct, Mystic and Valor hats.<\/p>\n<p>The weekend gives trainers increased chances to encounter Shiny Pok\u00e9mon, enjoy up to nine free Raid Passes per day, along with bonus trading features and expanded gift limits.<\/p>\n<p>The Pok\u00e9mon GO Fest 2026: Global Melbourne event will run each day from 9 am-6 pm, and the Global event will run in-game from 10 am-7 pm AEST.
