I can show you one recent college graduate who\u2019s not struggling on the job market \u2014 Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin\u2019s daughter, Apple Martin. In addition to modeling, most recently for Chlo\u00e9<\/a>, and singing<\/a>, Martin is now acting as well.<\/p>\n Martin was cast <\/a>in the upcoming Nancy Meyers film, which also stars Pen\u00e9lope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, and Owen Wilson. Very few details about the movie or the characters have been released, so there\u2019s no way to know how large Martin\u2019s role will be. She had a small cameo in the premiere episode of Rooster<\/a>, so this is not technically her acting debut. But it is definitely her first real step in Hollywood, where she will be following in the footsteps of both her mother and her grandmother, Blythe Danner. No pressure.<\/p>\n Obviously, Martin\u2019s career ambitions have changed a lot since her freshman year of college when, she told The Cut<\/a>, she wanted to be a lawyer. \u201cI kept myself away from the arts because I was worried about perception, and because I\u2019m constantly compared to my parents,\u201d she said. After a couple of years, however, Martin realized she can\u2019t control how she is perceived by her peers, so she\u2019d be better off doing what she actually loved.<\/p>\n Having just graduated from Vanderbilt University less than a month ago, Martin has plenty of time to decide what she wants to do with the rest of her life.
