JSN shared on his Instagram Stories<\/a> (which we\u2019ve screenshotted since it will disappear soon) the official NFL Honors trophy he received. Name spelled correctly? Check. Official Associated Press logo? Check. Season in which the award was won is accurate? Check. Now all that\u2019s left is to make sure this trophy says he\u2019s the Offensive Player of the Year\u2026<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right. With all due respect to Myles Garrett<\/a>, Smith-Njigba is such a dominant force of a football player that he\u2019s actually the Defensive Player of the Year. I now wonder if Myles\u2019 award says he\u2019s the Offensive Player of the Year in one hell of a mix-up.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s one thing when Druski butchers JSN\u2019s full name<\/a> in a failed attempt at humor, but this is the NFL sending the literal wrong award his way. How does no one notice this flub? And \u201cThe Year\u201d is missing a space from the looks of things.<\/p>\n

Anyway, clearly the only way to rectify this is for Smith-Njigba to get some reps at cornerback next season so he can be eligible to win DPOY for real.<\/p>\n
