We have NBA picks and predictions for Wednesday, May 20th, which features Game 1 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals.<\/p>\n

Like we saw with the Thunder on Tuesday, the Knicks could be rusty after sitting for a week, and the Cavaliers could be ready to fire.<\/p>\n

The Cavaliers came through a tough series against the Detroit Pistons, and they\u2019re not getting enough credit for taking down the top seed. They won twice on the road, which isn\u2019t easy to do, and they should come into Madison Square Garden with a good mindset.<\/p>\n

Donovan Mitchell and James Harden are starting to believe in their ability to win in the playoffs, and there is always a lingering doubt with the Knicks that they can win the Eastern Conference Finals after coming up short most years.<\/p>\n

Punters should expect a close game on Wednesday in Game 1, and getting the Cavaliers with a +7.5 start is sizable. They won the most recent meeting 109-94 in February, and the latest meeting at MSG was a two-point win to the Knicks.<\/p>\n

It could come down to the final few plays of the game, so take the Cavaliers +7.5.<\/p>\n

He played well for the most part against the Pistons, including 26 points in Game 7, which should give him enough confidence for this contest. We have him scoring over 26.5 points, and he\u2019ll be the driving force for the Cavs.<\/p>\n

Karl-Anthony Towns could struggle to score in the paint for the Knicks. The Cavaliers have Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley guarding him in the paint, so he could be forced to shoot from the three-point line. Whilst he\u2019s capable from three, most of his points come in the paint, so include KAT under 17.5 points in NBA SGM picks.<\/p>\n
