Spencer Pratt<\/a> is dealing with safety concerns amid his bid to become the next mayor of Los Angeles.<\/a><\/p>\n

Pratt\u2019s campaign recently shared a statement with the Daily Mail<\/a> from his head of security, who revealed that the 42-year-old father of two \u2014 who shares sons Gunner, 8, and Ryker, 3, with wife Heidi Montag<\/a> \u2014 has received \u201ccredible threats\u201d on his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn response, we have increased and adjusted his security detail accordingly. We are also working closely with the LAPD to ensure the ongoing safety of Spencer and his family,\u201d the head of security told the outlet. \u201cI will not be providing any further details. Our sole focus is the protection of Spencer and his loved ones \u2014 not feeding tabloid speculation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The outlet reported that the reality TV star\u2019s \u201cteam also confirmed that he\u2019s been in contact with the Los Angeles Police Department regarding the threats.\u201d<\/p>\n

As In Touch previously reported,<\/a> on April 29, The Hills alum \u2014 whose home tragically burnt down in the 2025 L.A. wildfires<\/a> \u2014 released a campaign video on X<\/a> saying \u201cThis is where I live,\u201d while standing in front of an Airstream trailer.<\/p>\n

However, TMZ<\/a> reported on May 13 that Pratt was actually residing at the Bel Air Hotel, and Montag, 39, and their two sons are staying in Carpinteria, California. Pratt explained he was getting death threats, so he was opting to stay at the hotel since it has \u201cits own armed security [and] that has become the only option.\u201d Additionally, he insisted, \u201cI have never told anyone I lived there,\u201d referring to the trailer.<\/p>\n

In a new campaign ad shared on social media<\/a> on Monday, May 18, Pratt puts his own spin on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song, rapping in front of his trailer parked at the Bel Air Hotel.<\/p>\n
