\nNo. 5 Hanna won the first set of No. 1 singles against Matia Cristiani 7-6 (7-5) before falling in the second set 6-2. She was down 1-0 in the third set at the conclusion of the match.

\nNo. 19 Archer won the first set over Sikharulidze 6-4 at No. 2 singles and lost the second set 6-1. The third set was tied 3-3 when the match was clinched.

\nThis is the second time in program history that the Bears have reached the title match. The first time was last year when they won it all.
