Taylor Fritz and Stefanos Tsitsipas are among those covered in this article. All the other matches, including Stan Wawrinka vs Alex Michelsen and Casper Ruud vs Raphael Collignon, are predicted in a separate article.

ATP Geneva Day 4 Predictions
Arthur Rinderknech vs Laslo Djere

Head-to-head: Djere 2-1 Rinderknech

Djere won both previous clay-court meetings with Rinderknech, although they were tight battles. The Serbian undoubtedly possesses slightly more talent on the dirt when he performs near his best. Rinderknech will try to get into as many backhand cross-court rallies as possible, but I feel Djere’s formidable forehand will prove decisive in this matchup.
Prediction: Djere in 3

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Learner Tien

Head-to-head: First meeting

Tsitsipas’s triumph over Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard was welcome after his poor recent form. However, that match against the huge-serving Frenchman will not prepare him for Tien’s wholly different style. The rising 20-year-old is not entirely comfortable yet on clay, though, which gives Tsitsipas a better chance. The 2021 French Open runner-up is narrowly favored to win.
Prediction: Tsitsipas in 3

Alexander Bublik vs Edas Butvilas

Head-to-head: First meeting

Butvilas lost just four games against Lorenzo Sonego. Although the Italian was nowhere near his best, he still deserves credit for that performance. Bublik’s form during the clay-court swing has been average, but his powerful serving and aggression match up well against Butvilas. Expect the Kazakhstani to blast his way into the quarterfinals.

Prediction: Bublik in 2

Taylor Fritz vs Alexei Popyrin

Head-to-head: Fritz 1-1 Popyrin

Expect few break point opportunities in a matchup between two excellent servers. Popyrin’s memorable run to the 2024 Canadian Open will also show how dangerous he can be at his best. Having said that, Fritz’s game in 2026 is more complete, including on clay. The 2024 US Open finalist is unlikely to create several chances, but he will probably find enough to overcome the Australian.
Prediction: Fritz in 2

Main Photo Credit: Susan Mullane-USA TODAY Sports

It promises to be an exciting day of ATP Geneva tennis.
