Charlotte Crosby<\/a> has revealed she’s suffered a heartbreaking silent miscarriage.<\/p>\n

The Geordie Shore<\/a> star and mother of two, 36, shared her experience in a candid Instagram post<\/a>, revealing she and fianc\u00e9 Jake Ankers found out she was pregnant in March before losing the baby.<\/p>\n

Crosby shared her post, including photos of herself in hospital, with a ‘trigger warning’ and said the pregnancy was a “really big shock.”<\/p>\n

A silent miscarriage occurs when the fetus has stopped developing, but there are no signs.<\/p>\n

The British reality star explained \ufeffshe had a six-week scan and “the room was very silent,” but nurses assured her it might have just been too early to have a scan.<\/p>\n

She said she then had a two-week wait before a next scan, which revealed the silent miscarriage.\ufeff<\/p>\n

“The two week wait was the longest of my life! It felt like it was going in slow motion. I held onto hope but my intuition was saying otherwise,” she wrote.<\/p>\n

“I went to London for my next scan where it was confirmed I had a silent miscarriage\u2026 Jake and I were devastated,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Truly a pain and devastation that hurt so much. I was booked in to have an operation to empty the uterus.<\/p>\n

“We spent the journey home crying and holding each other so tight.”\ufeff<\/p>\n

Crosby said Ankers was right by her side through it all.<\/p>\n

“I woke up with Jake by my side! With some bad cramping pains and bleeding! I spent a few more hours in hospital until I recovered and then we went home,” her post continued.<\/p>\n

“A part of me was relieved this was all over\u2026 sad but very relieved I didn’t have to worry anymore”.<\/p>\n

Crosby, however, added \ufeffthat she’s grateful for her family, writing: “Although this experience has been so sad I feel incredibly lucky to have my two girls!”<\/p>\n

“It’s left me knowing we 100 per cent want to grow our family and hopefully we will be lucky enough to have a successful pregnancy again.<\/p>\n

“I always wanted to share my story to raise awareness on silent miscarriages, if I even made just one person feel less alone I would have felt I’d done well!”\ufeff<\/p>\n

Crosby rose to fame on Geordie Shore back in \ufeff2011 and fans will remember she had an on and off relationship with co-star Gaz Beadle.<\/p>\n
