\n\tBrie Larson<\/a>, Lily Collins, Jack Quaid and Henry Golding are set to star in\u00a0Close Personal Friends, a comedy that Jason Orley will direct for Amazon MGM Studios.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe feature is the latest from Orley, who previously wrote and directed the Pete Davidson coming-of-age movie Big Time Adolescence and is known for his many collaborations with the comedian. For Close Personal Friends, which has gone through several title changes, Orley co-wrote the story with Isaac Aptaker, with the latter penning the script.<\/p>\n

\n\tMuch of the story is being kept under the sheets, but it is known to center on one couple that meets and befriends a celebrity couple while on a trip to Santa Barbara. Personal lines get crossed, among other things, and awkward hilarity ensues.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe feature begins shooting in London in September.<\/p>\n

\n\tAptaker is producing with Elizabeth Berger, his partner at banner Walk-Up Company, along with Maximum Effort\u2019s Ashley Fox and Johnny Pariseau. Orley is executive producing.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe feature project reunites Orley, Aptaker, and Berger with Amazon MGM after their previous effort, the 2022 romantic comedy\u00a0I Want You Back,\u00a0starring Charlie Day and Jenny Slate.<\/p>\n

\n\tLarson, who plays Captain Marvel in the Marvel movies and won an Oscar for her performance in indie drama Room, last executive produced and starred in Apple TV+\u2019s\u00a0Lessons in Chemistry, earning Emmy, Screen Actors Guild, Critics Choice, and Golden Globe nominations. She is repped by WME and Sloane Offer.<\/p>\n

\n\tQuaid this year starred in New Line\u2019s well-liked sci-fi thriller Companion as well as Paramount\u2019s action thriller Novocaine. He most recently appeared in Amazon MGM\u2019s actioner Heads of State and is repped by UTA, Anonymous Content, and Sloane Offer.<\/p>\n

\n\tCollins is the star of Netflix\u2019s hit series Emily in Paris. Her last big-screen outing was appearing in Maxxine, the final installment in Ti West and A24\u2018s cult horror trilogy X. She is repped by CAA, LBI Entertainment, Definition Entertainment and Sloane Offer.<\/p>\n

\n\tGolding came to prominence thanks to his breakout role in\u00a0Crazy Rich Asians\u00a0for Warner Bros. he is currently starring in Guy Ritchie\u2019s Netflix series\u00a0The Gentlemen\u00a0and appeared in the streamer\u2019s Old Guard 2.
