Charli XCX<\/a> is back with a new song \u201cSS26.\u201d It arrives alongside a visual from \u201cVon Dutch<\/a>\u201d director Torso, which places Charli in the glamorous chaos of a major fashion show. She rocks a variety of looks on and off the runway and even recovers from a catwalk stumble straight out of Sex and the City<\/a>\u2014and that\u2019s all before her dressing room explodes. Charli first teased the new song in a Substack post Monday, posting a text that appeared to be either song lyrics or a fashion-capsule manifesto. \u201cThink my politics could work as a press strategy,\u201d she wrote, \u201cAnd my heritage could give me quite the USP\/Can\u2019t hide the fact I\u2019d rather take the easy road.\u201d Turns out they were the former, riffing on celebrity and world affairs via \u201ca runway that goes straight to hell.\u201d The video continues the theme, set on a runway that \u201cgoes straight to hell\u201d during a couture season that just might coincide with \u201cwhen the world is gonna end.\u201d It opens with a guest appearance from former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief Carine Rotfield, who remarks from the front row: \u201cFashion won\u2019t save us. But let\u2019s go on the runway and walk.\u201d The singer Abra also makes a cameo.<\/p>\n

\u201cSS26\u201d follows \u201cRock Music<\/a>,\u201d her first standalone single since the Brat<\/a> campaign, followed a few days later by a loosie called \u201cI Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night<\/a>\u201d that was exclusive to vinyl and her Instagram page.
