viewBox=&quot;0 0 800 450&quot;%3E%3C\/svg%3E\"  alt=\"\" loading=\"eager\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">However, there\u2019s a divergence in long-term outlooks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">Only the Commonwealth Bank and ANZ believe this will mark the end of the rate hiking cycle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">Westpac and NAB, conversely, still foresee further increases.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">The cost of another 0.25 per cent hike<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">For a homeowner with a $600,000 mortgage and 25 years remaining on their loan, another 0.25 per cent cash rate hike in August would add an extra $92 to their monthly repayments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">If this were to be the fourth hike for the year (following February, March, and May increases), the cumulative monthly increase would reach a substantial $364.<\/p>\n<p>Borrowers urged to act now<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">Canstar.com.au\u2019s research highlights a critical issue: many owner-occupiers who took out a mortgage five years ago and haven\u2019t renegotiated are now sitting on a variable rate of 7.01 per cent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Text__Typography-sc-1103tao-0 bjGYxJ StyledP-sc-cebixd-0 bzEerj\">Sally Tindall, Canstar.com.au\u2019s data insights director, warns that \u201cif you are now sitting on a rate starting with a 7, you\u2019re essentially paying a big fat loyalty tax to your bank, especially as an owner-occupier.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"styles__StyledImage-sc-17n6uwl-1 hlcJVa wp-post-1129206 wp-image-1129202\"  src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg xmlns=&quot;http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg&quot;
