Standard-issue dual rear setup, standout selfies<\/p>\n

The Infinix Note 60 Pro is one of them pretend-Pros – it’s got a relatively basic camera system with little in the way of bells and whistles. In a way, it may even be regarded as a step down from the Note 50 Pro from last year – the main camera sensor is smaller and the selfie camera sensor is lower-res.<\/p>\n

Infinix doesn’t reveal the sensor models in hardware apps, but between the specs that they do list and their own official pages, we have pieced together something that resembles a spec sheet. The main camera has gone from the 1\/1.57″ sensor of the Note 50 Pro to a smaller 1\/1.95″ imager. It’s still a 50MP sensor, and the lens in front of it is stabilized.<\/p>\n

The ultrawide on the back appears unchanged – it’s an 8MP unit with 1.12\u00b5m pixels. There is an upgrade here, though, after all – the lens now has autofocus, unlike the previous model’s setup.<\/p>\n

The other somewhat major change is on the front, where a 13MP conventional sensor has replaced the 32MP Quad Bayer-type unit of the previous generation. It’s the same size sensor too, and we’re expecting 13MP to actually be more than 32MP in this particular context.<\/p>\n

As is the norm, the Infinix camera app has its quirks, starting with the full auto photo mode being called AI CAM. Not everything is where you’d expect it to be, but you’ll get used to it eventually.<\/p>\n

As we noted on the Note 60 Ultra, the heart rate sensor on the side of the phone doesn’t get any camera app functionality. The ironically named One-Tap button on the left side of the phone that only has a long-press action can be set to open the camera though, so there’s that.<\/p>\n

Daylight photo quality<\/p>\n

Main camera<\/p>\n

The main camera’s EXIF data reports a 23mm focal length, but Infinix’s own specs say 78 degrees field of view, and that’s more like 27mm – the latter makes a lot more sense and corresponds well to the slightly narrower field of view that we’re observing in real life. <\/p>\n

The main camera captures good photos overall. The dynamic range is good, the auto white balance does well, and the saturation is pleasing. Sharpness is more into average territory – random textures lack much definition, and there’s a general softness throughout.<\/p>\n

People shots do look good though, the less than ideal sharpness almost counting as a plus. Skin tones are lively, colors are looking good overall too. The Portrait mode’s default blur level might be a bit much though.<\/p>\n

The full-res 50MP photos are essentially upscaled versions of the 12.5MP ones – not much of a detail benefit to be had.<\/p>\n

The 2x zoom shots aren’t particularly good either – they’re much too soft when examined from up close. That said, for on-screen consumption or social sharing (at low resolutions anyway), they’d be just fine.<\/p>\n

With that last bit in mind, perhaps the 2x headshots will also be easily good enough, plus it can be a good idea to sacrifice some pixel-level quality to gain the better perspective\/tighter framing of the 50-ish millimeter focal length equivalent. Also, the Portrait mode results at this level have a more believable bokeh level.<\/p>\n

Ultrawide camera<\/p>\n

The ultrawide camera is doing alright for what it is. 8MP is not a lot of pixels, and as 8MP cameras go, this one isn’t among the best in its detail rendition, but it still manages to capture decent detail. Colors look pretty great, but contrast is a little too high for our liking.<\/p>\n

Low-light photo quality<\/p>\n

Low-light photos from the main camera at 1x are very good. The dynamic range is excellent, the colors are on point, and the detail is good for the class.<\/p>\n

The 2x zoom shots are harder to like, showing softness when viewed at 1:1. You’ll find little to complain about at fit to screen magnifications though.<\/p>\n

Ultrawide camera<\/p>\n

It’s sort of the same on the ultrawide as well – if you pixel-peep, you’ll see the softness in the shadows. Take a step back, and you’ll appreciate the dynamic range and colors, and maybe that’s more important at this level.<\/p>\n

Selfies<\/p>\n

The Note 60 Pro captures very good selfies, with lively skin tones and colors in general, and a wide dynamic range. There’s a lot of detail in them too, even if it can have a bit of a pixelated look on facial hair. Even the low-light selfies are pretty solid, particularly for the class.<\/p>\n

Photo quality verdict<\/p>\n

The Note 60 Pro’s performance as a stills camera isn’t overly exciting, but it will serve you well. The main camera is good at its native focal length in all sorts of conditions, and it can dabble in zooming in to 2x, as long as you don’t have too high expectations. The ultrawide is solid from a global perspective, with decent daytime detail and an alright showing at night. There is a standout performer here and it’s the selfie camera – it’s near-excellent in good light and quite competitive after dark too.<\/p>\n

Video quality<\/p>\n

The Infinix Note 60 Pro can record video up to 4K30 with the main camera or you can trade off resolution to get more frames in 1080p60 and those same options apply to the selfie camera. The ultrawide maxes out at 1440p30 (no 60fps mode).<\/p>\n

There’s no Pro video mode and neither is a 24fps capture option. You do get HDR10+ recording on the main camera at up to 4K30.<\/p>\n

There are two tiers of stabilization – the regular AI Steady is available for all quality settings, while the Ultra Steady mode works at 1080p30 on the ultrawide and 1080p30 or 1080p60 on the main camera at 1x.<\/p>\n

Daytime videos from the Note 60 Pro’s main camera are quite sharp, and they have great colors. However, the high contrast is dialed up a bit excessively. 2x is decently usable too, from a detail perspective. The thing is, though, the main camera footage suffers from this constant tremor that is annoying at 1x and downright problematic at 2x – that’s with the Standard stabilization enabled. The ultrawide’s 1080p footage is decent, but nothing special really – we’ve seen sharper 1080p ultrawide clips.<\/p>\n

Low-light footage from the main camera is actually surprisingly good, though it’s not without its issues. For one, our scene came out at just under 26fps, even though we had disabled the auto frame rate for low-light videos (though even if it were enabled, we’d expect a more sensible 24fps). There’s some of that tremor too. We do like the noise-vs-detail balance, which is giving us plenty of sharpness, plus dynamic range is great, and colors are spot on. The ultrawide’s clips are pretty soft, but not exactly terrible.<\/p>\n

As already mentioned, stabilization is hardly perfect, with the main camera struggling somewhat when shooting from a stationary position. It’s no surprise then that it’s also quite shaky when you’re shooting while walking, and in our usual scene, we also observed a weird dolly zoom-like effect at the beginning of the clip – that’s a first. The ultrawide is quite stable normally, though it just might decide to hunt for focus on occasion, which is annoying in its own right.<\/p>\n

Video quality verdict<\/p>\n

The Note 60 Pro has a relatively basic video recording spec, though its capabilities are about par for the class – 4K30 and some HDR capability is good enough. The main camera’s stabilization ruins the impression somewhat, though quality is otherwise pretty good and low-light performance is above average.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" GSMArena Team, 22 May 2026. 1.
