After falling heartbreakingly short in the NBL26 Championship Series two months ago, the Adelaide 36ers have wasted no time making major off-season moves, headlined by the appointment of Trevor Gleeson as coach.<\/p>\n
But they’re far from done. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe offer is still there for Torrey Craig,\u201d ESPN\u2019s Olgun Uluc said on the Marketplace, presented by Paywise.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s weighing his options. I know he really enjoyed his time in Sydney, but there is a really attractive number on the table for him (from Adelaide).\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Craig proved a standout mid-season addition for the Sydney Kings, averaging more than 12 points and 6 rebounds, while playing a key role in the club\u2019s championship run.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the player I\u2019ve been big on,\u201d NBL champion Pete Hooley said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels like the type of signing that would put them over the edge.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s made it clear he wants to get back to the NBA \u2026 and I think we saw in spurts that he\u2019s more than capable of playing at that level.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf that doesn\u2019t happen \u2026 I think he would turn his attention to a full season in the NBL.\u201d<\/p>\n
Adelaide has already added Bul Kuol ahead of NBL27, but with the forward continuing his recovery from an ACL injury, remains focused on adding another athletic wing import.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe 36ers feel like last season they were one wing away from winning a championship,\u201d Uluc said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheoretically they will have added two wings in Bul Kuol and Torrey Craig \u2026 but come playoff time when Bul Kuol\u2019s healthy, they\u2019ll have these athletic wings they can throw out there.<\/p>\n
\u201cUnfortunately last season the Sydney Kings had all of those.\u201d<\/p>\n
