The Buffalo Bills<\/a> needed to make an effort to improve around quarterback Josh Allen<\/a> during the 2026 NFL offseason.<\/p>\n

They did their best. But was it enough? According to FOX Sports<\/a>, the team did a 15th place job.<\/p>\n

The outlet ranked the supporting cast around each starting quarterback in the NFL currently. That is where the Bills<\/a> land in the poll.<\/p>\n

The marquee move of Buffalo’s efforts to improve in that area involved wide receiver DJ Moore<\/a>. The Bills landed him in a trade<\/a> and the hope is he becomes the team’s top option for Allen.<\/p>\n

If that proves true, the Bills could have among the league’s best supporting casts in 2026 because that would allow others on offense to flourish. It remains to be seen if that is the case.<\/p>\n

FOX Sports’ breakdown on the Bills’ in 15th place can be found below:<\/p>\n

Make no mistake: This is a Josh Allen-centered offense. “His supporting cast doesn\u2019t matter,” one scout told me. “It\u2019s all about him.” Well, RB James Cook<\/a> does play a role, too. And he emerged as a huge force last season when he led the league in rushing, thanks at least in part to one of the NFL\u2019s best offensive lines. But the passing game is really all about Allen, and the Bills seem to treat it that way.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ll never understand why they just don\u2019t go out and get (Allen) a No. 1 receiver,” another scout told me. “Put him with a top-10 guy and who stops that team? He\u2019ll break every record in the book.” They did add D.J. Moore in the offseason, which is an improvement. But he\u2019s 29 and three seasons removed from his WR1 days. Beyond him are mostly third and fourth receivers (Khalil Shakir<\/a>, Keon Coleman<\/a>, Josh Palmer<\/a>) and two serviceable tight ends (Dalton Kincaid<\/a>, Dawson Knox<\/a>). “They would be unstoppable,” the first scout told me, “if they\u2019d just get (Allen) some real help.”<\/p>\n
