Knight, is produced by Lionsgate Television, which is now going to shop it around to other platforms.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018House of Ashur\u2019 was picked up by Starz in 2023, prior to its separation from Lionsgate.  Since the split, \u2018Ashur\u2019 is no longer owned by the network.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/05\/spartacus-house-of-ashur-canceled-starz-1236919237\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Deadline<\/a>, neither reviews nor viewership for the series reportedly came close to the original series.  In addition, the audience for it, predominantly white males, clashed with the network\u2019s focus on women and underrepresented audiences.<\/p>\n<p>The Spartacus sequel could not match the buzz and viewership levels of the original 2010 series. Additionally, the makeup of the follow-up\u2019s audience did not quite align with Starz\u2019s focus on women and underrepresented audiences, sources said.<\/p>\n<p>The series was set in an alternate timeline where Nick Tarabay\u2019s Ashur character lived and took control of the gladiator school.
