\n\tAfter taking on the Big Apple, Ghostface appears to be headed back to the suburbs, according to one returning Scream<\/a> star.<\/p>\n

\n\tMason Gooding<\/a>, who reprises his role as Chad Meeks-Martin in Scream 7<\/a>, recently described the upcoming installment as \u201cdomestic,\u201d as well as \u201chomely and unconventional,\u201d following the Scream VI<\/a> (2023) location change from Woodsboro to New York City.<\/p>\n

\n\tGiven that Joel McHale<\/a> and Isabel May<\/a> have been cast as Sidney Prescott\u2019s (Neve Campbell<\/a>) husband and daughter, this checks out. But since the franchise\u2019s OG \u2018final girl\u2019 has been established to be living far from her deadly hometown, we can likely expect to find her in a different suburbia.<\/p>\n

\n\tGooding also raved to Us Weekly <\/a>about working with director Kevin Williamson<\/a> on Scream 7 after he wrote the first two Wes Craven-helmed films in 1996 and 1997, as well as the 2011 franchise refresh Scream 4.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFrom a creative standpoint, [he] is the dream, because he created that world,\u201d explained Gooding. \u201cSo having a level of understanding and world building and in background and ethos of just the concept in general of Scream, was incredibly gratifying and also led to a greater understanding of the lifeblood of the series as a whole.\u201d<\/p>\n
