NSW are suddenly sweating on the availability of five-eighth Mitchell Moses after he \u201cfelt tightness\u201d in his hamstring, the Blues have confirmed.<\/p>\n

In a statement released on Monday afternoon, it was confirmed Moses had suffered a fresh hamstring injury, with scans scheduled for Tuesday to \u201cdetermine the extent of the injury\u201d.<\/p>\n

In preperation for his potential omission, the Blues will call Matt Burton into the 20-player squad, subject to ARL approval.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Westpac NSW Blues, subject to ARLC approval, will call Matt Burton into the 20-player squad as standby for five-eighth Mitchell Moses, who pulled up with hamstring tightness at the end of training at Polytec Stadium in Gosford,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoses completed the team session but felt tightness as part of extra activities post the team session and will undergo scans tomorrow to determine the extent of the injury.<\/p>\n

\u2018Subject to ARLC approval, Burton will join camp this evening, and train with the team in their final session tomorrow ahead of Game One of the Ampol State of Origin series at Accor Stadium on Wednesday night (27 May).\u201d<\/p>\n

The development puts Moses in doubt for Wednesday\u2019s series opener, with Burton and current squad member Ethan Strange a chance to replace him in the No.6 jersey.<\/p>\n

It would be yet another injury-interrupted series for Moses, who has played just six matches since making his Origin debut five years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been no secret that I obviously haven\u2019t had the best run of injuries the last few years,\u201d Moses said earlier this week at NSW Blues media day.<\/p>\n
