{"id":693105,"date":"2026-05-25T08:03:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-25T08:03:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/693105\/"},"modified":"2026-05-25T08:03:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-25T08:03:12","slug":"interior-design-trends-2026-27-claremonts-ligne-roset-store-owner-reveals-trends-to-hit-perth-from-paris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/693105\/","title":{"rendered":"Interior design trends 2026-27: Claremont\u2019s Ligne Roset store owner reveals trends to hit Perth from Paris"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Perth may not be a hub for fashion and style innovation like the metropolises of Europe, but that doesn\u2019t mean cutting-edge design and quality craftsmanship are not in high demand.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Michael Fotis is the managing director of Claremont\u2019s Ligne Roset showroom \u2014 the trendsetting French furniture label\u2019s only physical WA outlet \u2014 and was one of a select few Australians present when the brand unveiled its latest design forecasting at an exclusive annual global showcase in April.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Akin to Milan Design Week, the four-day event was held in Paris\u2019 Palais de Tokyo and covertly previewed the 2027 design themes that would eventually trickle into WA, and ultimately, the homes of fashion-forward WA residents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">With representatives from up to 600 global Ligne Roset vendors attending the private showcase, Mr Fotis was tasked with handpicking the styles he feels will connect best with his clientele.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/061668ed0830298df818b95c2a384662713de276.jpg\" alt=\"Ligne Roset x BOSS collaboration.\" class=\"css-16r7l45-StyledImage en5ut4d0\"\/>Camera IconLigne Roset x BOSS collaboration. Credit: Ligne Roset<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cNot everything\u2019s right for our market, because there\u2019s so many different distributors they (Ligne Roset) have, and we\u2019re all a little bit different from what sells in China, our Perth lifestyle is quite unique,\u201d he told PerthNow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The same applies to Australia\u2019s east coast: \u201cThe way we live here \u2014 longer days, the quality of our daylights and what have you, is a bit different to the gloomy Melbourne winters.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Established in 1860, Ligne Roset\u2019s pioneering design has naturally been welcomed into the homes of global artists and creatives, with rock star Lenny Kravitz and actor Colman Domingo two known fans of the label\u2019s iconic 1960s Togo sofa.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Natural synergies between fashion and furniture design led Ligne Roset\u2019s recent collaboration with German fashion house BOSS (also known as Hugo Boss), with the timeless piece front and centre.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The bespoke collection will eventually make its way to Australia from Europe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Mr Fotis offered a broader look at interior trends in colour and texture set to land in WA in the next 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>Furniture design trends hitting Perth from Paris in 2026-27\u2018Solar Sands\u2019<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Ligne Roset\u2019s annual showcase unveiled a central theme of \u201cSolar Sands\u201d which embodied warm, natural tones incorporated into textiles and materials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">Mr Fotis said there was a key focus on \u201cgetting back to nature\u201d that could be seamlessly applied to the WA market.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cIn terms of textiles, a lot softer colours and neutral tones. Credit: Ligne Roset<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The design expert said travertine typically follows a trend cycle of 10-15 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cWe\u2019ve looked at some things that we\u2019re bringing in for next year that we\u2019ve ordered \u2014 natural timbers in noble woods, walnuts, and oaks which will mirror our lifestyle, our environment here,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/a10edd8f180f74f3064bfb8ac2f0741359f9dbdf-16x9-x0y543w1121h631.jpg\" alt=\"Solar Sands theme.\" class=\"css-16r7l45-StyledImage en5ut4d0\"\/>Camera IconSolar Sands theme. Credit: Ligne Roset<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cIf you start thinking about those colours, you start thinking about the sand and our coastal environment, our beaches and our landscapes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">The owner described the Perth-specific motif as \u201crelaxed sophistication.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Deep blues and denims<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">After observing an emergence of blue tones at last year\u2019s showcase, Mr Fotis feels blue and denim tones will become more prevalent as they complement the lifestyle of Perth residents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-9cqv6l-StyledPNParagraph e8utp6u0\">\u201cIn terms of the way we live coastally and close to the water, a lot of our clients are either on the river or down the coast,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/c6ce363dd15ed5f4291c79a50ad45b4aeff65364.jpg\" alt=\"Blue tones.\" class=\"css-16r7l45-StyledImage en5ut4d0\"\/>Camera IconBlue tones.
