\u201cIf you\u2019re lacking any confidence, it\u2019s probably around that, but in terms of needs and want to have them, we\u2019d love for them to stay.<\/p>\n

McGovern, who comes off contract at the end of the season, has played 17 games this year but none following his latest hamstring injury.<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old is no guarantee to sign a new deal, but Voss was adamant McGovern was in his future plans. <\/p>\n
\u201cAbsolutely,\u201d the coach said. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhile he\u2019s probably more on the back end of his career, rather than the front end, he\u2019s shown over the last couple of years that some of the concerns he had around his body, there\u2019s less of those.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing one of the older players and seeing some of the younger players playing well \u2026 the only conversations I\u2019ve had is that he\u2019s been excited by what he\u2019s seen, but he\u2019s also desperate to play.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy not playing, clearly he\u2019s disappointed in not being able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Star midfielder Sam Walsh, another who has been linked to a possible move, returns for the first time since round 13 after a foot injury and despite the potential to rest for next season, Voss said Walsh had been \u201cscratching at my door\u201d to play <\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just a great sign when you\u2019ve got one of your leaders that wants to see it through and wants to get out there and be a part of it,\u201d Voss said.<\/p>\n
