Brightspeed has wrapped construction of its fiber network build in Butler, Hyndman and Roaring Springs, Pennsylvania. Now, more than 21,000 families and businesses in those communities have access to gigabit broadband speeds. Already, nearly 164,000 locations are fiber-enabled, and once the company\u2019s full fiber network buildout in the state is complete, almost 213,000 families and small businesses will have access to Brightspeed\u2019s multi-gig-speed fiber internet service.<\/p>\n

C Spire announced its fiber-based broadband service will soon be available in two Marion County fiberhoods. The expansion will deliver connectivity to more than 130 residents, unlocking new opportunities in education, commerce, healthcare, and more. Construction in the first fiberhood starts mid-August, while building in the second neighborhood gets underway in late September. Construction in both fiberhoods will be completed later this fall. Fidium is expanding its fiber network in Aroostook County, Maine.<\/p>\n
Fidium\u00a0is expanding its fiber network in\u00a0Aroostook\u00a0County, bringing symmetrical internet to\u00a01,300 homes and businesses in Aroostook County, including in Sherman,\u00a0Stacyville, and parts of Benedicta Township, as well as Grand Isle.\u00a0Fiber infrastructure construction is scheduled to begin as soon as August 15, with exact start dates varying by location. Today, more than 385,000 Maine homes and businesses<\/a> have access to Fidium, including Fort Fairfield, Caribou and Madawaska. Greenlight Networks is accelerating its fiber internet expansion plans across Rochester in 2025, including announcing several new buildouts in towns on the west side. Representing a $30 million investment, Greenlight is rapidly expanding its network footprint into new neighborhoods located throughout Greece, Gates, Chili and Hilton. Lumos has begun its fifth large-scale expansion in Ohio, bringing ultra-fast fiber internet to Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties. As part of this initiative, Lumos will build nearly 3,000 miles of new fiber infrastructure. Lumos, now part of\u00a0T-Mobile Fiber<\/a>, is expanding its fiber network to more than 226,000 addresses across 27 cities and communities, including Lorain, Elyria, City of Amherst, Amherst Township, Avon, Avon Lake, Lyndhurst, South Euclid, Mayfield Heights, and Cleveland Heights. The network will provide service to consumers and businesses via T-Mobile Fiber, in addition to large companies and bulk multi-dwelling unit (MDU) complexes, which will be under the Lumos brand. Omni Fiber is bringing its fiber broadband service to multiple new markets across\u00a0Ohio,\u00a0Michigan\u00a0and\u00a0Pennsylvania. As part of this expansion, Omni Fiber is investing over\u00a0$465 million\u00a0to establish a multi-gigabit fiber Internet network for homes and businesses in these and other growing communities. Construction has already begun in many of these markets and service installations are underway this summer and will continue over the months to come.<\/p>\n
