\n\t\u201cKPop Demon Hunters<\/a>\u201d is getting the Criterion treatment. Netflix\u2019s breakout musical fantasy film will get a special Blu-ray release from the prestige home entertainment label on Dec. 31, with pre-orders available now. <\/a><\/p>\n \n\tRetail listings currently show the film available in Blu-ray and 4K UHD editions, priced at $39.95 and $49.95, respectively. Additional details about special features have not yet been announced.<\/p>\n \n\tThe release caps a major run for \u201cKPop Demon Hunters,\u201d which became one of Netflix\u2019s biggest original film breakouts after releasing last June. Directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and produced in partnership with Sony Pictures Animation, the film follows K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey \u2014 voiced by Arden Cho, May Hong and Ji-young Yoo \u2014 who lead double lives as demon hunters when they aren\u2019t selling out stadiums.<\/p>\n \n\tThe film, which won the Oscar for best animated feature, broke multiple records over the past year. It became the most streamed movie of 2025 while its corresponding soundtrack hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The lead single \u201cGolden\u201d remained at No. 1 on the Hot 100, with the film becoming the first soundtrack to place four songs in the chart\u2019s top 10 at the same time. <\/p>\n \n\tThe film has also spawned dozens of lucrative partnerships and licensing deals. In fact, Mattel and\u00a0Hasbro, fierce rivals, were named a global \u201cco-master\u201d toy licensee for \u201cKPop Demon Hunters \u2014 a dual license structure believed to be unprecedented in the industry. Themed products such as Uno, Monopoly, and dolls have begun rolling out this spring. <\/p>\n \n\tA sequel is currently in development at Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation, with Kang and Appelhans returning.
