Joining British outfit Academy Motorsport, McLeod becomes the fifth Ford Racing Development Driver to represent the team this season.<\/p>\n

McLeod will partner Canadian Marco Signoretti in the team\u2019s #62 Mustang entry, which has become a car used to showcase Ford\u2019s wider junior driver pool.<\/p>\n

The young gun is no stranger to the Ford Mustang GT4, this year competing for Multispares Racing in Monochrome GT4 Australia with Mason Harvey.<\/p>\n

McLeod and Harvey sit third in the Silver Cup driver standings after two rounds of the current season, with a pair of podium finishes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited to be joining Academy Motorsport for Monza,\u201d said McLeod.<\/p>\n

\u201cRacing in Europe in the GT4 European Series is a huge opportunity, and I can\u2019t wait to get started.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team has an outstanding reputation for developing drivers, and I\u2019m confident we can have a strong weekend alongside Marco.\u201d<\/p>\n

McLeod contested the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational in 2025, winning two races and elevating himself onto Ford\u2019s junior pathway.<\/p>\n

\u201cCameron is exactly the kind of driver the #62 seat is designed for,\u201d said team manager Les Jones.<\/p>\n

\u201cFive development drivers through our garage in one season is something we\u2019re extremely proud of. Cameron\u2019s record speaks for itself, and paired with Marco, we\u2019re expecting a strong Monza.\u201d<\/p>\n

American Ford Racing junior Jenson Altzman joined Signoretti for the season opener at Paul Ricard, with the pair finishing ninth and 15th in the two races.<\/p>\n

Altzman has experience in GT4 Australia, having raced alongside Jack Wallis at The Bend in 2025.<\/p>\n

McLeod is not the only Australian represented in the field, with Lachlan Evennett contesting the full GT4 European Series calendar alongside an Australian campaign.<\/p>\n

Round 2 of the GT4 European Series will be held at Monza across May 30-June 1 (AEST).<\/p>\n

Fox Sports and Kayo will broadcast the action in Australia.<\/p>\n
