{"id":698869,"date":"2026-05-27T23:53:12","date_gmt":"2026-05-27T23:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/698869\/"},"modified":"2026-05-27T23:53:12","modified_gmt":"2026-05-27T23:53:12","slug":"usa-referee-luke-rogan-named-to-2026-world-rugby-junior-world-championship-panel","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/698869\/","title":{"rendered":"USA Referee Luke Rogan named to 2026 World Rugby Junior World Championship panel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"css-2425b0\">With World Rugby summer match official appointments now confirmed, MLR and USA Rugby are pleased to highlight a series of significant international selections for North American based match officials.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">Major League Rugby official Luke Rogan has been appointed to the Men&#8217;s Junior World Championship in Georgia, where he will take on a series of high-profile match responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">June 27: New Zealand vs Japan (Referee)<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">July 2: Australia vs Fiji (Referee)<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">July 7: South Africa vs Wales (Assistant Referee 1)<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">July 7: Georgia vs Uruguay (Assistant Referee 1)<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.world.rugby\/the-game\/high-performance\/officiating\/1043776\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"css-tm001h\">Full Junior World Championship Appointments \u00bb<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">In addition, a number of officials from both USA Rugby and Major League Rugby have been selected as Assistant Referees for Test Matches in the inaugural <a href=\"https:\/\/usa.rugby\/news\/usa-mens-eagles-nations-cup-coming-to-colorado-north-carolina-2026330\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"css-tm001h\">World Rugby Nations Cup<\/a> taking place this July. Appointments include Mike Lawrenson, Derek Summers and Robin Kaluzniak.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">These appointments reflect the continued growth and international recognition of match officials developed within the USA Rugby pathway, all in partnership between the national governing body and Major League Rugby. <\/p>\n<p class=\"css-2425b0\">MLR Director of Match Officials David Wilkinson said on the selections, \u201cThese appointments are a fantastic recognition of the hard work, consistency, and professionalism of our match officials.
