A highlight for Pastrana was engaging in a genuine race with Will Brown<\/a>\u2019s Red Bull Ampol Racing machine, with the Camaro remarkably matched to the performance of the Subaru Brataroo.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n On YouTube alone, the video has earned over 12 million views since its launch in December.<\/p>\n Following the passing of the legendary Ken Block, Pastrana decided to keep his promise and continue the franchise.<\/p>\n \u201cKen said, Look, I want you to do three Gymkhanas. If the first one doesn\u2019t hit 20 million views, you\u2019re done,\u201d Pastrana said on the Stacking Pennies Podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m like, I think I could do that, I have no idea.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd then he goes, I\u2019m passing it to my kids, so when he passed away, everything kind of split.<\/p>\n \u201cEverything was separated, and I got talking to Brian Scotto, who was the producer of Gymkhana.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, I promised Ken I\u2019d do three; he wanted to see his kids have a chance to do this, but I felt it was my obligation to Ken to at least get this kind of reboot.<\/p>\n \u201cSo we went down to Australia, which had a lot of meaning to me, because Ken had tried to get Gymkhana in Australia for years.<\/p>\n \u201cThey made a law, no hooning \u2013 obviously they\u2019re like, you can\u2019t drift here, we don\u2019t want it here.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the early resistance, the shoot encompassed multiple locations in New South Wales, including numerous scenes with the Supercars field.<\/p>\n \u201cYou always think you\u2019ve got time, you\u2019re like, oh, we\u2019ll do rehearsal,\u201d Pastrana said.<\/p>\n \u201cNo, we had three hours to get all of these shots and to coordinate the day before all of these guys in the cars or the race cars for the biggest event of the year, and I\u2019m sliding in and out and weaving, that\u2019s why I love race car drivers.<\/p>\n \u201cStunt drivers are great \u2013 they can do anything that you set up.<\/p>\n \u201cRace car drivers, we were on the fly \u2013 nothing that we had planned went right, everyone just filed in.<\/p>\n \u201cI thought we were just going to get smoked with this four cylinder, you know, (but) we had about the same amount of horsepower.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got 850 horsepower (in the Subaru), I think we might have had a little more, but we could crush them 0 to 100.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s this corner that you\u2019re hitting 160 (mph, 260km\/h) at the end of the straightaway into this kink (at The Chase).<\/p>\n \u201cAnd I\u2019m like for sure Will (Brown) is going to pass me \u2013 we\u2019re going through, we\u2019re racing, and I\u2019m everything it\u2019s got right to the maximum.<\/p>\n \u201cIt goes 9,600 RPMs, which is pretty amazing for a four cylinder, it sounds like an F1 car almost, and we\u2019re going down to this dog leg, right?<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re at 152, 155 (mph), and we\u2019re side by side, and I\u2019m like\u2026 I have never hit it before in my life, either, man, and we\u2019re racing.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd Will\u2019s like, how much faster was your car?<\/p>\n \u201cI was like, how much faster was your car?<\/p>\n \u201cThey were so identical down the straightaway.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was freaking awesome, dude.\u201d<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/v8sleuth-mag-issue3_1024x1024.jpg\"\/)
