Jennifer Lopez<\/a> doesn\u2019t need a man to make her happy.<\/p>\n

The Office Romance<\/a> star, 56, said she\u2019s happily single and in no rush to get into a new relationship following her divorce from Ben Affleck in 2025.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re single right now,\u201d comedian Jimmy Kimmel noted<\/a> to the actress, who was a guest on the Wednesday, May 27, episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!<\/a><\/p>\n

Lopez quipped in response, \u201cI am. I should have done it sooner! I\u2019ve been doing it all wrong. Trust me.\u201d<\/p>\n

During a 2024 appearance on Carrie & Tommy\u2019s Australian radio show, Lopez called herself \u201cmore of a love addict or a workaholic than everything else.\u201d Before she was a household name, Lopez\u2019s first [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Kimmel, 58, then floated the idea that Lopez find love on reality television, asking, \u201cWould you consider becoming the next Bachelorette here on ABC?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo. Are you crazy?\u201d Lopez emphatically responded. \u201cI\u2019m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. It\u2019s fantastic. I love it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems hard for you to meet people otherwise,\u201d Kimmel reasoned. However, Lopez replied, \u201cI\u2019ll meet somebody somewhere one day, if they\u2019re good enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kimmel went on, \u201cI think it would be great if we put you in a house with 25 weirdos. Wouldn\u2019t it be funny even just as a prank that they haven\u2019t met the Bachelorette yet, and then you walk out and they all s*** their pants simultaneously?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t. I could never. I can\u2019t do it,\u201d Lopez responded, adding, \u201cI\u2019m good right now. I\u2019m happy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lopez finalized her divorce from longtime love Affleck<\/a>, 53, in January 2025. She initially filed for divorce in August 2024, two years after they tied the knot.<\/p>\n

Lopez and Affleck were initially engaged in the early 2000s after meeting on the set of the movie Gigli. They were due to get married in September 2003 but called off the wedding days before it was set to take place. They later split in January 2004.<\/p>\n

The former couple reconnected in 2021 and got engaged for a second time in April 2022. They tied the knot in Las Vegas in July that year and held a second wedding ceremony in Georiga the following month.<\/p>\n

In March, Lopez reflected on pushing the reset button<\/a> following her fourth divorce. (She was previously married to Ojani Noa from 1997 to 1998, Criss Judd from 2001 to 2003 and Marc Anthony from 2004 to 2014.)<\/p>\n

\u201cI took a year off,\u201d Lopez said during an appearance on Good Morning America, explaining that she had to \u201cstop everything\u201d after splitting from Affleck. \u201cI canceled tours. I decided to just be home and sit in what had happened without running away from it through work, through another person, through anything. Just sit.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI was just at a point where I was like, \u2018What is going on with you?\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cI couldn\u2019t blame anybody else because I don\u2019t think that\u2019s where the lesson is. And so, I really needed to figure myself out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lopez added, \u201cI feel like for the first time in my life, I\u2019m free. I\u2019m on my own. It feels really good. I didn\u2019t really know what that felt like since I was in my early 20s, and even before that I always had a boyfriend. There was always someone in my life and so many other things that I felt were out of my control.
