Credit: SpaceX<\/p>\n<p>Australian company Geospatial Intelligence and Canadian firm EarthDaily have announced an Earth observation partnership.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The collaboration will see EarthDaily\u2019s science-grade Earth observation data and analytics made available for Geospatial Intelligence\u2019s customers across Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company currently has seven satellites in orbit, with its 10-spacecraft constellation due for completion in the second half of 2026.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Canberra-based <a href=\"https:\/\/geoint.global\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Geospatial Intelligence<\/a> has a range of clients, but a strong focus on government users across sectors such as defence, security and the environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe world doesn\u2019t need more imagery. Credit: EarthDaily<\/p>\n<p>EarthDaily\u2019s high processing capacity<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The satellite company was founded in 2021 and launched its first satellite (EDC-01) last year, with six more (EDC-02 to EDC-07) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spatialsource.com.au\/spacex-mission-to-launch-multiple-eo-satellites\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">following on<\/a> earlier this month. Its first high-resolution images were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spatialsource.com.au\/earthdaily-releases-first-high%e2%80%91resolution-images\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">released<\/a> in March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMost Earth observation systems were built to capture images,\u201d said Osborne.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe built EarthDaily to measure change. With this second launch and successful contact across multiple satellites, we are moving quickly toward delivering a consistent, daily understanding of the planet that customers can rely on to act with confidence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company claims that its spacecraft have one of the highest pixel-processing capacities in orbit, able to digitise more than 20 billion pixels per second.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-wp-class--hide=\"state.isContentHidden\" data-wp-class--show=\"state.isContentVisible\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on--pointerdown=\"actions.preloadImage\" data-wp-on--pointerenter=\"actions.preloadImageWithDelay\" data-wp-on--pointerleave=\"actions.cancelPreload\" data-wp-on-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" height=\"304\" width=\"630\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/Earth-Daily_830.jpg\" alt=\"A graphic showing the multiple spectral bands available from EarthDaily satellites\" class=\"wp-image-46457\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\t\tEach EarthDaily satellite can cover 22 spectral bands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Each satellite carries 16 multispectral imagers \u2014 12 visible and near infrared imagers (VNIR), two short wave infrared imagers (SWIR), and two thermal infrared imagers (LWIR) \u2014 plus visible spectrum capabilities (RGB), for a total spectral range of 22 bands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The company also claims that it is the first operator of a commercial Earth observation satellite constellation to have achieved <a href=\"https:\/\/ceos.org\/ard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">CEOS Analysis Ready Data<\/a> compliance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"An EarthDaily satellite being deployed from a SpaceX Falcon launch vehicle.
