Resurrecting a blast from the past, the\u00a0CoE\u00a0will pay homage to the classic Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) jerseys from 20 years ago.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Australian Institute of Sport have a\u00a0storied past<\/a>, with the blue and red uniforms being a staple of the basketball teams design from 1981 through to 2013, with this\u00a0particular design\u00a0representing\u00a0the 2006 season.\u00a0<\/p>\n This crop of\u00a0CoE\u00a0talent will add to a legendary list of players that have represented the iconic navy and red 2006 uniforms including;\u00a0Abby Bishop, Cayla Francis, Katie Rae Ebzery, Marianna Tolo\u00a0and\u00a0Renae Camino\u00a0for the women, and\u00a0Patty Mills, Joe Ingles, Tyson Demos, Nathan Jawai, AJ Ogilvy, Stephen Weigh\u00a0and\u00a0Daniel Johnson\u00a0for the men.\u00a0<\/p>\n Retro round<\/a>\u00a0will have the\u00a0CoE\u00a0host the Newcastle Falcons and Sydney Comets at the Australian Institute of Sport, across Saturday the 30th\u00a0and Sunday the 31st\u00a0of May.\u00a0<\/p>\n The\u00a0CoE\u00a0women hit a bump last weekend, dropping both games to slip to sixth on the\u00a0NBL1 East ladder<\/a>\u00a0despite plenty of positive signs.\u00a0<\/p>\n It\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0get much easier for the\u00a0CoE\u00a0women this week either, with another tough test looming against the fourth placed Newcastle Falcons on\u00a0Saturday<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the\u00a0CoE\u00a0men continued their red-hot form, stretching their winning streak to seven with a statement win over fellow contenders\u00a0Norths Bears<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n The\u00a0CoE\u00a0men now sit firmly atop of the\u00a0NBL1 East ladder<\/a>, with an impressive 11-1 record.\u00a0<\/p>\n The challenge will be particularly demanding for the CoE women, facing two opponents firmly in finals contention.<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n View the NBL1 East\u00a0ladder\u00a0here.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n View the remaining\u00a0fixtures\u00a0of the NBL1 East season\u00a0here.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
