Joey Bosa<\/a> remains a free agent as June nears, and the 30-year-old defensive end doesn\u2019t seem to be in a rush to sign with an NFL<\/a> team.<\/p>\n

San Francisco 49ers<\/a> All-Pro pass rusher Nick Bosa<\/a> was asked about his older brother\u2019s plans while meeting with the media after the 49ers OTA on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think he\u2019s working on his golf game right now, so I don\u2019t think he\u2019s thinking too much about football,\u201d Bosa said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNFL Daily\u201d host Gregg Rosenthal chimed in shortly thereafter, writing on X<\/a>, \u201cJoey Bosa has made a lot of money, had a lot of injuries, and faded against the run late last season. Sounds like he could just walk away.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Bosa brothers have been tormenting offenses since their days at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and at Ohio State.<\/p>\n

Joey Bosa was a two-time All-American and the 2014 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year while playing at Ohio State from 2013 to 2015. The then-San Diego Chargers<\/a> and now Los Angeles Chargers<\/a> selected him with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n

The 2016 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year played nine seasons with the Chargers and accumulated an extensive injury history<\/a> \u2014 limited to 28 games from 2022 to 2024 \u2014\u00a0before the Chargers released him<\/a> in March 2025.<\/p>\n

The Buffalo Bills signed<\/a> Bosa to a one-year contract the following week. Bosa recorded an NFL-most five forced fumbles, 5.0 sacks, and 16 quarterback hits in 15 regular-season games for the Bills.<\/p>\n

If this is it for him, Bosa would walk away with 77 sacks, 96 tackles for loss, 172 QB hits, and 372 tackles (269 solo) across 107 career regular-season games.<\/p>\n
