Former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson<\/a> is signing a deal with CBS to become the network\u2019s newest NFL analyst, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.<\/p>\n

While the role is yet to be defined, it had been rumored that Wilson could replace Matt Ryan<\/a> on The NFL Today after the former NFL MVP was named the President of Football Operations with his former team, the Atlanta Falcons<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Wilson spent one year with the Steelers in 2024. After missing the first six games due to injury, he took over for Justin Fields<\/a>, who helped Pittsburgh begin the season 4-2. Wilson led the Steelers to four consecutive wins, and went 6-1 in his first seven games as the starter before Pittsburgh lost its final four regular season games and were eliminated in the wild card round by the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>. Wilson finished the year going 6-5 as a starter while throwing 16 touchdowns to five interceptions.<\/p>\n

Wilson spent the 2025 season with the New York Giants<\/a>, going 0-3 as a starter before being replaced by Jaxson Dart<\/a>.<\/p>\n
