Ted Lasso<\/a> may be one of the most beloved shows on TV, but there\u2019s a bit of a \u201clove-hate relationship\u201d between Hannah Waddingham<\/a> and Jason Sudeikis<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The actress, 51, opened up about \u201cthe nature of how Sudeikis works\u201d during an interview with Variety<\/a> and hinted that there\u2019s been a bit of tensions on set between them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s always going to be a bit of give-and-take within a scene,\u201d she explained of the Emmy winner\u2019s on-the-fly script rewrites.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe hears it in the room, and then we tweak,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith that boy, you\u2019ve got to roll with the punches. He and I have an ongoing love-hate relationship that he changes it last minute.\u201d<\/p>\n

But despite hinting that it\u2019s not always rosy on set, she insisted the cast members are all very close and admitted it\u2019s \u201codd\u201d if they don\u2019t chat weekly.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Waddingham, who plays Rebecca Welton<\/a>, also opened up about the complicated bond she has with Sudeikis\u2019 character, Ted Lasso, and how it \u201cbucks against the norm.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are undoubtedly soulmates, but that can mean a myriad of things,\u201d the singer told the outlet, adding that she \u201clove[s] all the relationships in\u201d the project.<\/p>\n

The pair have been nothing but platonic in the series, although fans have been hoping for more to happen between them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The new season is going to be a different one, with Waddingham teasing in February that it\u2019s going to be a whole new deal with Lasso coaching a women\u2019s team for AFC Richmond.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait for everyone to see what they\u2019ve come up with,\u201d she told Deadline earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And as for coming back to her role, she\u2019s willing to do it until she\u2019s 80.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI love Rebecca Welton, my character, and the writing is so magnificent. Jason Sudeikis and the writers\u2019 room, it\u2019s like a finely tuned machine.
