{"id":709337,"date":"2026-06-02T00:56:14","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T00:56:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/709337\/"},"modified":"2026-06-02T00:56:14","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T00:56:14","slug":"nicolo-bulega-dodges-vr46-motogp-rumours-any-colour-is-fine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/709337\/","title":{"rendered":"Nicolo Bulega dodges VR46 MotoGP rumours: \u201cAny colour is fine\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After extending his WorldSBK win streak to a record 22 in a row at Aragon, Nicolo Bulega dodged speculation that he is set to join the VR46 Ducati team in MotoGP.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old has been firmly on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">MotoGP<\/a> radar since his stand-in appearances for Marc Marquez at the end of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Bulega\u2019s domination of WorldSBK this season, combined with impressive lap times during early testing of Ducati\u2019s 850cc prototype, has further strengthened his chances.<\/p>\n<p>But with Ducati&#8217;s 2027 rider line-up largely settled, the only vacancy appears to be at VR46.<\/p>\n<p>    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/gng_1316222_hires.jpg\"   type=\"image\/jpeg\" alt=\"Valentino Rossi, VR46, 2026 Catalan MotoGP\" loading=\"lazy\" style=\"aspect-ratio:1.5\"\/> <\/p>\n<p>Valentino Rossi, VR46, 2026 Catalan MotoGP<\/p>\n<p> \u00a9\u00a0Gold and Goose<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p> Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT<\/p>\n<p>Team owner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/racer\/1999\/valentino-rossi\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Valentino Rossi <\/a>recently stated that he would like to keep an Italian rider in the team, but that still put Bulega up against the likes of Luca Marini, Celestino Vietti and current rider Franco Morbidelli.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crash.net\/motogp\/teams\/ducati-lenovo-team\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ducati <\/a>is now rumoured to have helped broker a VR46 deal for Bulega, who raced for Rossi\u2019s team at the start of his grand prix career.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be honest, I don\u2019t have much to say. For a MotoGP bike, I\u2019d even be fine with purple.
