\n\tIt\u2019s June 1, and that can mean only one thing. OK, so it could actually mean a lot of things \u2014 the start of Pride, for example \u2014 but in this case, we\u2019re talking about World Outlander Day.<\/p>\n

\n\tYes, every June 1, the Sassenachs pull out their finest tartan to celebrate the date Diana Gabaldon published the very first\u00a0Outlander\u00a0novel in 1991. That makes today the 35th anniversary \u2014 give your special Claire or Jamie something coral, per the internet.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor its part, Starz<\/a> is sharing the season two premiere date for Outlander prequel series<\/a> Outlander: Blood of my Blood<\/a> \u2014 get that tartan dry-cleaned for Friday, Sept. 18. There\u2019s also a teaser trailer to watch (below).<\/p>\n

\n\tOutlander: Blood of my Blood season one<\/a> introduced viewers to the two different, \u201cbut equally passionate,\u201d love stories of Claire\u2019s (Caitr\u00edona Balfe) and Jamie\u2019s (Sam Heughan) respective parents as \u201cthey met and fought to be together against all odds,\u201d per Starz\u2019s logline.<\/p>\n

\n\tSeason one started with Henry (Jeremy Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield) Beauchamp tripping back in time, lost and separated in the highlands of 18th century Scotland. By the end<\/a>, the two finally reunited at the standing stones of Craigh na Dun, hoping to return to their own time and to baby Claire. It worked for Julia; Henry\u2019s situation is a whole \u2018nother story.<\/p>\n

\n\tOver at the other family tree, Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) made a big romantic escape from their families, though the 1715 Jacobite Rising kind of screwed their best laid plans.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to our two new pairs of lovebirds, Outlander: Blood of my Blood also stars\u00a0Tony Curran\u00a0as Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat;\u00a0S\u00e9amus McLean Ross\u00a0as Colum MacKenzie; Sam Retford\u00a0as Dougal MacKenzie;\u00a0Rory Alexander\u00a0as Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser; and\u00a0Conor MacNeill\u00a0as Ned Gowan.<\/p>\n

\n\tMatthew B. Roberts is the showrunner for both Outlander and Outlander: Blood of my Blood. He executive produces the prequel series along with Ronald D.
