‘With the current regulations, you don’t brake at the last moment because we’re now using a braking point of 100 meters, which is the last moment to brake. So now you lift off the gas 20-30 meters before and just coast through the corners. This is to conserve as much energy as possible, because you need that energy for the straight. And top drivers like Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Piastri or Alonso, they derived their performance from the braking point, the speed leading up to the apex, and of course, the acceleration out of the corner. And now, if you just coast through the corner, they no longer have that advantage. That’s why they’re not exactly thrilled about the rules right now.’<\/p>\n
