Tennis superstar Novak Djokovic has made another appearance with a stringed instrument – this time in an advertisement for Asics.<\/p>\n

The Serbian tennis player appears in a short ad promoting the New York Collection of his signature Asics Court FF\u2122 3 Novak\u00a0shoe, ahead of the US Open Tennis Championships, which begin next week on 18 August.<\/p>\n

In between cinematic shots of powerful groundstrokes, Djokovic can be seen miming playing a violin, with a thoroughly furrowed brow, along to the first movement of \u2018Winter\u2019 from Vivaldi\u2019s\u00a0Four Seasons.<\/p>\n

\u2018From his first step to his final shot, Novak plays with a rhythm only he can hear, and somehow, we feel every beat of it,\u2019 reads the caption of the video.<\/p>\n

Djokovic made headlines in 2024 with his violin-miming celebrations during Wimbledon, in honour of his daughter Tara, who had been learning the instrument for six months at the time.<\/p>\n

In August 2024, footage emerged of the 24-time Grand Slam winner \u2018playing\u2019 a 1785\u00a0Lorenzo Storioni viola<\/a> belonging to Sarah McElravy. Djokovic and his family had been celebrating his long-sought Olympic gold medal victory with a holiday in Croatia, where they attended an impromptu concert put on by McElravy and Julian Rachlin.<\/p>\n

38-year-old Djokovic is due to play at the US Open in a bid for a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam singles title. His last tournament appearance was at this year\u2019s Wimbledon, where he was beaten in the semi-final by eventual men\u2019s champion, Jannik Sinner.<\/p>\n
