Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein went from hot and heavy to just friends.<\/p>\n
A source exclusively told Page Six<\/a> that Lopez and Goldstein \u2013 who are co-starring in the upcoming Netflix movie Office Romance \u2013 \u201ckept things professional on set while filming but their chemistry was undeniable.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey tried to keep things low-key during the months while filming but flirted here and there on set, and they definitely had a strong connection,\u201d the insider said. \u201cEveryone saw them getting very cozy together at the wrap party and it was obvious they were into each other.\u201d<\/p>\n According to the source, Lopez, 56, and Goldstein, 45, enjoyed a night out together in early 2025 when they attended the Broadway play Oh, Mary! in New York City.<\/p>\n \u201cOnce filming wrapped, they were free to take things further and dated for quite some time,\u201d the insider said.<\/p>\n According to the source, however, the relationship eventually lost momentum.<\/p>\n \u201cThey liked spending time together and Brett made her happy,\u201d the source explained. \u201cBut things just sort of fizzled out between them since last year.\u201d<\/p>\n The source stressed that there is no animosity between the two and says they remain on good terms.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s no bad blood but it just kind of came to a lull. They have a good friendship but in terms of romantic chemistry, that ship has sort of sailed,\u201d the insider said.<\/p>\n The Hustlers star and the former Ted Lasso actor \u201cdated for a bit and had a really strong physical attraction toward one another. Nothing major happened, they just felt like they were better off friends than anything else.\u201d<\/p>\n Representatives for Lopez and Goldstein did not immediately return Page Six\u2019s requests for comment.<\/p>\n News of the Netflix romantic comedy broke in September 2024, with Goldstein set to star opposite Lopez.<\/p>\n Social media users were quick to point out Goldstein\u2019s longtime crush on Lopez, which he has frequently vocalised on his Films to Buried With podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n One fan posted a clip via X<\/a> of Goldstein gushing over the actress\u2019 appearance in The Hustlers in a July 2018 episode.<\/p>\n \u201cF***ing hell. 50!\u201d the comedian exclaimed of Lopez\u2019s age at the time. \u201cShe\u2019s 50.
