As the 2026 MLB season enters its third month, the Red Sox find themselves still searching for their 10th home win. <\/a><\/p>\n

The Red Sox are 9-20 at Fenway Park this year after falling at home to the Orioles on June 2. That\u2019s the franchise\u2019s worst home record to begin a season since 1932.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 1932 Red Sox began the year 7-22 at home and finished 43-111, 64 games back of the first-place Yankees. <\/p>\n

The worst home record to begin a Red Sox season is owned by the 1927 team which started off 6-23. <\/p>\n

There is another modern Sox team in this list\u2019s top five. The 2020 Red Sox began the season 10-19 at Fenway during a season that was shortened to 60 games due to the COVID-19 pandemic. <\/p>\n

The 2026 Red Sox are 3-7 over their last 10 games and 25-34 overall. <\/p>\n

The offense has struggled. They\u2019ve been able to get runners on base, but have had too many missed opportunities and not enough power to make up for it. <\/p>\n

Despite being ninth in the league in batting average<\/a> (.246) and 14th in on-base percentage (.318), the Red Sox are second-to-last in runs (222) and home runs (44). They are 26th in slugging percentage (.318).<\/p>\n

Boston\u2019s pitching staff has the eighth-lowest ERA (3.83) in the league and they\u2019re tenth in hits allowed (475). <\/p>\n

The Red Sox are 16-14 on the road this season, which is the fourth-best road record in the American League and second among A.L. East teams.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s obvious, the way we\u2019ve played so well on the road and it\u2019s been a struggle here as far as wins and losses are concerned,\u201d Red Sox interim manager Chad Tracy said<\/a> of the team\u2019s performance at Fenway.<\/p>\n

There are 102 games left to play. The season is a little more than a third of the way through. <\/p>\n

But right now, the Red Sox are last in the A.L. East, 11.5 games back of first place, and off to an historically bad start at home.<\/p>\n
